This week I had the pleasure of starting one of my days at Solarice Spa Vancouver location. Upon my arrival I was greeted by friendly Spa Concierge and guided to the change and eucalyptus steam room.  I was given my own set of spa sandals and a cozy robe to slip into before my treatment and then I slipped into the intention room to sit in solitude by the fire as I awaited my treatment.   I was offered cucumber water and herbal tea by a spa attendant and felt that all my needs were met at that moment.

At the time of my treatment I was greeted by Silva, a German trained Physiotherapist, and guided through the spa to our treatment room.  Silva discussed that I was to have the 90 minute Extreme Muscle Relief treatment which is the Signature Treatment at Solarice. I got cozy on the table face down and took a moment to myself.

Silva slipped back into the room and began the treatment.  She applied a rich, creamy moor mud to my back and then lay a wrap over, covered me with a sheet, heating pad and  comforter to top off my experience.  She left the moor mud to work its magic in drawing out impurities and the heat to relax my tense muscles.  Silva began a firm deep massage on my legs and feet which almost enabled me to drift off to sleep.

Upon removal of the wrap and product on my back with hot towels, Silva began to work her German training into the sweet stress spots of my upper back.   You know the spots from where you’ve been sitting too long at the computer or lifting your kids a bit much?  Those spots! The Extreme Muscle Relief Signature Treatment effectively removed knots and melted my muscles.  Silva finished off the treatment with a neck and scalp massage that very closely may have left me napping the rest of the morning!  She slowly had me come to by slightly lifting the mood lighting and let me know to take my time getting up (little did she know!)
