I was recently treated to a Salon afternoon at Kast Hair Studio in Port Moody! Not far out of Vancouver, Owner Angella Cottreau treated me well in covering up my grey hair! I can’t believe that I am even posting this but here is a Before Pic :
I believe in being authentic so here you have it. This is more than a gentle reminder to me, busy Mum and Professional or not, to never neglect this area of self care.
Angella gave a very thorough consultation and left it up to me to decide what I would choose. During the consultation she suggested many options so that upkeep would vary on the budget. This will enable the color being done to be up kept with little issue.
I let her choose the color and she got to work. The first thing that I noticed in this process was that the Aveda product did not irritate my scalp in the same way as other coloring treatments have done in the past.
After the product was applied, I relaxed with my phone and did some ‘work’ with a cup of coffee. The product worked its magic. Angella came back to me after some time and gave me a glorious hair wash and scalp massage. If you could fall asleep at a salon, Angella’s scalp massage would be the reason! Before I had a chance to see any results Angella very specifically told me what could be so that I would not be too surprised.
The only surprise to me was how great I looked at the end result! Even before Angella dried and styled my hair I felt as if I’d had a makeover! Essentially, I did! Angella proceeded with drying and styling my hair and then recommended the perfect Aveda products.
